"The 4th of July will no longer be known as an American holiday. But as the day when the world declared in one voice, we will not go quietly into the night. We will not vanish without a fight. We're going to live on. We're going to survive. Today, we celebrate our Independence Day."
And of course…. These Assholes show up. Happy 250th ‘Murica 🇺🇸
"If you live in and around Washington D.C., be aware white nationalists are marching on the nation's capital this morning on America's 250th anniversary. This video was shot by Mitchell Miller, a reporter in Washington D.C. at Union Station, and it shows hundreds of masked men carrying Confederate flags chanting anti-immigrant slogans calling for the country to be, quote, reclaimed. They started at Union Station and they appear to be marching across the city today in covered masks. These individuals chanting white nationalist slogans, carrying Confederate flags. Law enforcement is actively monitoring their demonstration and they're actively trying to conceal their identities by wearing the white masks or the white kind of face guards on their face. And as you can see, there are Confederate flags like that one right there. So if you live in the area, be aware. This is what they're bringing for America's 250th. I'll have more updates for you soon. Spread the word and follow along, stay updated on all the news you need to know about more to come soon."
Europe isnt the world. Its irelevent today. How many other countries celebrate Canada's independence?
The American story belongs to all of us. 🇺🇸 That's why today we are proud to share the words that shaped a nation, read by the people shaping its future.
"Have you heard the words of the preamble to the Declaration of Independence? These words belong to all of us, and today we're sharing the words that shaped a nation right by the people shaping its future. Preamble of the Declaration of Independence. We hold these truths to be self-evident. That all men are created equal. That they are endowed by the Creator with certain unalienable rights. That among these are life and liberty and the pursuit of happiness. That to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men. Deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed. That whenever any form of government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or abolish it. And to institute new government. Laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form. As to them shall seem most likely to affect their safety and happiness. Prudence indeed will dictate that governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes. And accordingly, all experience has shown that mankind are more disposed to suffer while evils are sufferable. Than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to wish their accustomed. But when a long chain of abuses and usurpations. Pursuing invariably the same object. Invinces a design to reduce them under absolute despotism. It is their right, it is their duty to throw off such government. And to provide new guards. For the future of security. Thank you for all that you're reading."
To honor our country on this July 4th… And to enshrine the 250th birthday in the hearts of our nation… President Donald J. Trump is building a golf course on the site which involves cutting down the iconic cherry trees gifted by Japan in 1912. You’re welcome America.
"Trump is planning on taking the cherry blossom area and turning it into a golf course. I'm not kidding. Construction on this is due to start September 1st. He's just gonna knock these cherry blossoms down that were a gift from Japan and have been here for over a hundred years. Because we need a golf course. Another one. Taking public land where there's fishing, recreation for the people. And there's a really funny thing he's trying to do. Because in 1897, a congressional act established the East Potomac Park, this area, for the people, recreation and pleasure of the people. So they have to go in front of a judge to figure this out. But literally a congressional act has happened given the people this park to enjoy and he's going to turn it into a golf course. How do we know that? Well, he said it in this super long winded thing, which honestly I see these and I just get tired so I don't read them. Well, it takes me time. First I get overwhelmed and then whatever. Anyway, so there's a golf course there. East Potomac Golf Links, okay? It's a three par little course. He wants to take it and turn it into a 18 hole world champion golf course where we could have the tournaments. I, and we can see based on this new plan that it will take over 50 acres of public land to make this golf course. Because right now it's three courses and he wants to turn it into one single giant golf course while using public lands and destroying the cherry blossoms. I love when they just walk around with the plans out. Like they don't even have a folder where they can protect it so we don't see all this. Anyway, this is just devastating. Walking under these cherry blossoms is truly magical. If you've never done it, I mean, I guess get there before September 1st. Anyway, this is just another day in Asinine Trump land destroying more of our capital. Let me know what you think about this. Cherry's in the chat for the cherry blossoms and I'll let you know what the lawsuit says at the end of the day. Not today, I just mean like, whatever. Anyway, I'll talk to you in a little bit. Follow up more. Okay, love you, bye."

"There are the kiddos right there, the Vice President of the United States. And this is great. A young family right here. You see those kiddos. They often are on these trips with the Mayans. Looks like his daughter's behind him. His other son is to his right. So there's Vice President of the United States going to give a big speech today. And his wife is expected to deliver her fourth child. So I'm sure that's not that she's not able to travel right now, probably. It's a huge moment for him, a huge speech. Going back to his roots as well. He once served in the military. And now he's gonna be speaking to many of those people that he served with. 41 years old. Yeah. And think about what he's done. Two years as a senator. Prior to that, he goes in the tech sector for a while. A best selling author. They did a movie on Hillbilly Elegy on his wife. And this was when he was in his 30s. A guy that served in the Marines, found his way from working class poverty. Found him right into the Ivy Leagues. And then decided to serve the country. And now at 41 years old, he's looked to be the leading candidate to."

Today makes 250 years of our great nation, not thanks to kings, but to the people.
"Here's perhaps one of the greatest leadership lessons there is, that real leaders don't lecture you on how great they are. They remind you how great we are and how great we can be together. Real leaders don't spend all their time pointing fingers of blame. They remind us that we share collective responsibility to make things better. Real leaders don't stand up and say, only I can lead you, follow me. Real leaders remind us that we are the leaders that we need. We are a nation that's great not because of someone who held the Oval Office. We have had great ones, but we are here because of all those leaders who remind us of our responsibility, our capability, who remind us that the power of the people is greater than the people in power. They were labor leaders. They were suffrage leaders. They were civil rights leaders who didn't just speak truth to power. They spoke truth to us. This is a moment that we need real leadership to remind us that this is our nation, that we can heal, that we can help. And most of all, in times like this, that we must all lead out of the darkness."

Como eu sempre digo: EUA não são um país, são 50 estados num sobretudo.
"Okay, so earlier today I checked out the preparations for Donald Trump's 250th birthday party for America, which is having some attendance issues Happy early birthday America. We're celebrating already at the great American State Fair, man We've got thousands of people celebrating this birthday with us Sometimes the pictures really don't tell the full of the full story because if you look behind us you say okay There are a couple hundred people back there But the truth is when you make your way over here and you're in this Lot you're in a wash of people there are thousands of people here And I'll tell you what that's with rain with everything else going on the fact that it is heightened security Just because of the world right now. It's it's really an awesome crowd That is so sad this picture really captures the problem one of the organizers posted this photo of a performance on The National Mall if you zoom in let's do it on the guitarist sunglasses Boy you can see a crowd of less than a dozen people in the reflection the organizers appear to have recently Deleted that image from the social media feed Replacing it instead with with this image of the performance cropping out the guitarist And is really cool cool shades"
This Fourth of July holds special significance as our nation celebrates the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. For 250 years, Americans have carried forward the ideals of liberty, democracy, and self-government that define our country.
"With the immortal words, we hold these truths to be self-evident. Thomas Jefferson and all the other delegates of the Second Continental Congress declared independence for America 250 years ago. The great thing about this republic, which has done amazing things, is it's never finished as the Constitution says, we'll continue to fight for a more perfect union. So our job as citizens every day is to celebrate, and today we celebrate a remarkable milestone, but to remember our work is never done as citizens of this great republic."
“These are the times in America that try men’s souls.” Fmr. U.S. Court of Appeals Judge J. Michael Luttig describes the test our country is facing and the hope he has as he says Donald Trump is attempting to force upon us a form of government and country that our Founders rejecte
"the time of America's testing has finally come after 250 years. It's almost prophetic that the time of testing has come today. But today, as we all know, our government is actually attempting to force upon us, we, the people, a form of government and a country of the very kind that our forefathers and founders rejected 250 years ago. So as we celebrate our founding today, once again, these are the times in America that try men's souls. And Americans must decide today, this year, what America they want and what America they do not want for the next 250 years. The President of the United States could not have presented the choice any more starkly than he has, but it's the decision of the American people that will prevail. Now to your question of late, but only as of late, I have seen hope in the American people that they are beginning to rise up and reject this government and this president and all that he and it represent. The American people, I believe, have finally come to their senses in a way and understood what vision of America this president and our current government has. And Americans don't want that, and neither do we here on this show today. If we have the courage in our breasts and the hope in our hearts that our founders had 250 years ago, when they pledged their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor to create this country, then we will long endure."

"has always been one of Shrek's biggest strengths. Unlike many animated movies, Shrek never talks down to its audience. It trusts people to get the joke, and that's why the originals still hold up today. The animation debate, now let's talk about the elephant or maybe the ogre in the room. The animation, this has become the biggest conversation online. Some fans love the cleaner, modern look. Others think the characters have lost the rough charm that made the originals feel unique. I've seen both opinions, and here's my take."
"stars to be living here today cause the flag still stands for freedom and they can't take that away. Be an American where at least I know I'm free and I won't forget the men who died who gave that right to me and I gladly stand next to you and defend her still today cause there ain't no doubt I love this land God bless the U.S.A."
My two favorite scenes from Dazed & Confused 🥴 Happy regular Saturday, kids! Let's celebrate Mitch McConnell's slow descent into Hell and someone else's collapse from heat stroke on the National Mall later today 🤞🏼🇺🇸
"Hey guys, one more thing. Hey, this summer, when you're being inundated with all this American bicentennial 4th of July brouhaha, don't forget what you're celebrating, and that's the fact that a bunch of slave-owning aristocratic white males didn't want to pay their taxes."
I’m proudly flying the original No Kings flag today in my front yard.
Happy Fourth, Folks! 💥🦅🇺🇸 Today we come together to celebrate our independence! #4thofJuly #July4th
